I voted NO on their “big, beautiful” bill because it will strip health care from 14 million Americans—including nearly 130,000 people in my district who rely on Medicaid.

I said it would get worse very quickly. By tomorrow we will have completed the most dangerous & frightening 24 hours thus far of Trump 2.0. Just to name a few:
1. Defiance of a court order by sending migrants to Sudan without due process (despite clear DP decision SCOTUS) & Dist. CT. order.
Since March, President Trump has been using the Allen Enemies Act to unlawfully deport people.
So we took him to court.
Power and whiteness have approximately 10,789 ways to dehumanize you while conforming to civility. Black people, in particular, have exactly zero ways to refuse or assert a boundary without being uncivil. And that’s the issue with these things.
Yes!!! More of this.
Keeps us from getting ripped off, yes.
Also prevents us from getting killed by the food and products we consume. I especially appreciate that part.
Elections have consequences
"The categories of information shown here are drawn from 23 data systems holding personal information about the public across eight agencies ... In all, The New York Times identified more than 300 separate fields of data about people who live in the U.S. contained in these data systems."
One day, one day, a brave soul shall contextualize the line from Obama’s techno government revolution to what we have today.
Someone.
The European Union’s response to US tariffs could include regulating the use of data by American big tech groups, France’s finance minister said in an interview with the JDD newspaper
Mark my words and please understand: They erase your history so that they can erase your rights.
It’s not misunderstanding economics.
It’s understanding whiteness.
It’s a death wish.
It’s so weird how we’re all just working like this is still a normal country.
Pushback works, part gazillion:
"Here are the facts: DOGE moved forward with plans to close multiple field offices. Then, without public notice or explanation, they reversed their plans. Now they are trying to pretend like they were never planning to close the offices."

France’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law.
South Korea’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law.
Brazil’s institutions defended its democracy, upholding the law.
Only America’s decided a criminal must be allowed to break its laws and destroy its democracy.
Good morning.
Listen, you have to just decide.
They are not taking the Black Smithsonian.
Resolve it in your spirit.
When I read this, I thought about the power of a global network. While “enemy of my enemy is my friend” may be on the surface, the power to network around a wannabe dictator is what is at the heart of this.

We do not have a free country in this moment. When they can nab someone off the street because they don't like what they say, they can nab anyone.
our history is gonna get disappeared because it tells a story some folks would rather not know and the folks with the resources to preserve said records aren’t motivated to do anything about it.
but hey, the cassandra life is not new to me so ima keep pushing.
I think a lot about this quote from Anaïs Nin’s diary from 1939-1944:
“America is in even greater danger because of its cult of toughness, its hatred of sensitivity, and someday it may have to pay a price for this, because atrophy of feeling creates criminals”.
We will not be distracted.
We will not be discouraged.
We’ve got our eyes on the prize.
And we will build the prosperous, free nation for all that we deserve.
The time to organize is now.

Elon bought the White House, now he's trying to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court. This is exactly what oligarchy looks like.
Wisconsin, on April 1st vote against him by voting Judge Crawford.
That point about authoritarian gov in the USA was a reminder why they are looking to ban books.
Thank you for this post. I knew about the EOs, but was wondering if the new attacks by AG would have legal standing or are designed to waste time and resources of the firms and attorneys being targeted.
Right on time like a sunny day in Chicago.
Big protests on behalf of human rights and opposed to wholesale slaughter of innocents are a sign a university is succeeding, not something to be suppressed.
10 days until the start of my new year.
End of year 1 and start of year 2 of living life this way.
Feels much better and in the flow than starting on Jan. 1st.
