Excited to introduce our database of icons for MDS-UPDRS-III items in Parkinsonβs disease! Available at osf.io/ybcah/ in various formats for easy edits. We hope these icons help enhancing science communication. Big thanks to @andreashorn.org, @lukasgoede.bsky.social and the patients for their input!
This tool reminds us of how humbling the practice of medicine can be. Ideally, we would like to speak β una voce β with one voice especially when recommending DBS. There may however, be a paucity of data available in small disease cohorts or in those w/ rare gene mutations.

Shout out to Carlos for seeing SCAN and CON, linking it immediately to DBS in Tourette's patients and investigating his idea in this exciting study!
Love the "friends don't let friends..." repo for data visualization - one of my most cited when reviewing - and now updated for histograms
Special thanks to @tilldembek.bsky.social, @vvvcologne.bsky.social and the management team for their support and having me on board!

Can deep brain stimulation (DBS) applied during sleep modify memory consolidation in Parkinson's? YES. It has long been pondered that low frequency stimulation could be a 'key' to improving cognition and thinking. Setting the device to be on at 4 Hz for 25 minutes in NREM? Wow!
Thx for raising the awareness on this topic! Any recommendation for a tool or procedure to check for chatGPT/AI involvement in this particular case that was helpful for you?

A well-made educational film about functional tics in German.
How can we as society, caregivers and parents support that optimism as an important driver of brave and positive developments is enhanced in following generations? Really inspiring read! www.nature.com/articles/s44...
Well - maybe the truth is somewhere in between. But I'm excited to find out more about YOUR work, thoughts and opinions here at @bsky.app π
Being new to @bsky.app I made a quick poll asking others about how to introduce my work as a clinician neuroscientist. Here are the results π₯
