Out-of-control invasive species has met its match: Cute and hungry otters
West coast states are spending millions to protect their inland waterways from invasive crabs. In some places, otters are just eating them.
Sea otters were hunted to near extinction on the west coast of N. America in the late 1800s. Legal protection has allowed them to recover to the point where they might provide biotic resistance against green crab population expansion. #bioinvasions #invasivespecies
