The Arab Spring was where we saw the cracks of the autocracies. With the rise of renewables, electric cars, and everything that can break their hold, they have fought. Now faced with a situation where the US can't protect them, I revel in those cracks they thought paved over spidering.

It actually hurts other pro-Palestine politicians like Mamdani and Abughazaleh to lump Platner in with them and pretend like the bad-faith accusations of antisemitism lobbed at them are similarly bad-faith when lobbed at Platner. This is why someone like Platner can poison a progressive coalition.
There was MUCH less evidence for antisemitism from Mamdani than there is from Platner, but the fact that some Jews had concerns led Mamdani to do lots of Jewish outrage, meet with Jews, go to synagogues, and such. Platner is notably not doing that.
It is impossible for anyone younger the 50 to understand how grotesque and unoriginal this is. It’s always the small group of advisors or tactical team.
