As we experience a huge surge of flu cases, a reminder that the widespread usage of masks at the start of the COVID pandemic wiped out a strain of the flu.
If you haven’t been masking up lately, now would be a great time to restart.
This. (Nonprofits, too.)
— Not to mention having to fill out a pdf, email it back and forth for a signature, and then type the same info into an app and then also upload the pdf as a “receipt”…

Wishing you good healing!
On this date, Matthew Shephard died 27 years ago. He was beaten, tortured, and left for dead on fence for being gay. Please keep him and his wonderful mother Judy in your thoughts. And let's all work for a world where such horrific things do not happen to anyone. ❤️🏳️🌈
Thank you. And I’m so sorry that happened!
(Me lying here, out of town, with a sudden random injury trying to figure out out if I should go get seen right away now or in the morning, or go to the work event that is relying on me…)
This is a tremendously beautiful project. Scroll down for all the wonderful details.
Oh no that’s awful. More reason for me to keep taking the stairs, too
Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Little kids are having to use their bodies to shield friends from gunfire while armed soldiers are busy picking up trash.
GROSS
This sounds familiar — it has been going around, sadly. Hope you feel better soon.

Freedom from kings.
Freedom from fascism.
Power to the people forever. ♥️
Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸
A video about the Declaration of Independence. I'm proud of this one.
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
July Fourth—Independence Day—is the original No Kings Day.
Just saying.

Disabled people can be a valuable resource to prepare for what’s coming.
We’re used to fighting for survival. We excel at emergency preparedness and contingency planning. We know what it’s like to try and survive an oppressive system that sees you as “better off dead”.
We were built to resist.
I have a toddler who is of course obsessed with Elmo, and this is radicalizing me in ways I cannot express
Rugged individualism is not the way to survive fascism.
Many folks will toss the disabled and vulnerable aside in an effort to further their own circumstances, but fascism comes for everyone eventually.
We need strong community supports. Networks of care. We must protect the most vulnerable.
In response to GOP-controlled legislators in Utah and Idaho banning government buildings from flying pride flags and other unofficial flags, leaders in Salt Lake City and Boise changed their official city flags to reflect pluralistic values.

Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.
Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?
I would like to nominate Maxwell Smart for national security advisor.
People keep asking me if Dems are divided between left and center of party. Nope. We are divided over old and new ways of fighting. That 20th Century playbook ain’t stopping a dictator.
