Absolutely. I can't understand how it ever went out of style! And ever new edition had completely different artwork. Just wildly fantastic stuff.
Loads of sexy vintage sci-fi in stock at the moment. Here's a wee snippet.
Love all this artwork, wish this style would come back!

The book Open Up by Thomas Morris next to a bottle of The Kernel Brewery Brown Ale next to a glass of beer.
Holiday From the Day Job time! Starting with a beer and book pairing. Heartwarming (and wrenching) short stories with The Kernel Brown Ale seems pretty apt.
Open Up by Thomas Morris is available in the shop as well!

The book Thought Forms by Annie Besant and C.W Leadbeater behind a bottle of Fernet Branca and a small snifter glass with Fernet.
My fav Christmas tradition! Thought Forms by Annie Besant paired with Fernet Branca.
Published in 1901, Besant attempts to map emotions & states of mind as visual shapes and colours. Approach with a healthy dose of skepticism (the theosophical framework isnβt my bag).
Also Fernet rules.

A beer called Pages #2, a collaboration between breweries Beak, Track, Verdant and Manchester Museum. Held in front of a copy of A Clockwork Orange by Manchester author Anthony Burgess, all in front of vibrant green vines and a brick wall.
Manchester beer with a Manchester author.
I really love Manchester in general. Have you been to Affleck's Palace? I haven't been since The Before Times. I hope it's still as fantastically weird as ever.
Hope everyone's had a nice weekend so far! What are you reading/drinking?

Definitely The Word for World is Forest by Ursula K Le Guin. A beautiful and horrible allegory for colonialism and it's tragic (and avoidable) consequences, set on a planet full of valuable resources. The messaging is all very obvious, but I love the story of the planet's indigenous species!
