Iβm excited to share this paper from Dr. Kimitaka Shibue in Dr. Rohit Kulkarniβs lab at the Joslin Diabetes Center @harvardmed.bsky.social, where they found that secretory machinery proteins modulate the ER unfolded protein response. Read more about it here for free: www.nature.com/articles/s41....
Excited to share our collaborative PhD project with Adam Dobson (Adam.Dobson@glasgow.ac.uk) on interorgan signalling in the ageing gut. Please contact Adam If you are a highly motivated student wanted to work on a super exciting Fly project.
Early in May, and too early in his life, my dear mentor Prof. Keith Blackwell passed unexpectedly. Please join us in celebrating Keithβs scientific achievements & legacy with my colleagues at the Joslin & Prof. Gary Ruvkun, a close & long-lasting colleague. #scientificlegacy #skn1 #aging #metabolism

The stunning color composite image features RCW 120 region, a nebula about 10 light-years across. You may admire an expanding bubble of ionized gas appearing as a reddish glow at the center, surrounded by blue clouds. The visual composition, enhanced by a black background filled densely with bright spots, creates a contrast between the bright red of the ionized gas and the cooler blue clouds, giving a sense of depth and dynamism.

This nice color composite from APEX shows RCW 120, an emission nebula and H II region located some 4,300 ly away in Scorpius.
RCW 120's dominant feature is a large, regularly shaped stellar-wind bubble, visible at submillimeter wavelengths.
