I love writing in my own universe. It's like going and playing in a sandbox, but no one else gets to play in it, so my castles don't get knocked down.
Oh wow, that's amazing. Just reminds me of working for a book merchandiser and sitting in the back of walmart ripping covers off paperbacks so the books could be destroyed since they didn't sell.

The only issue is a lot of time publishers will decline to take anything that has been published online. They want first publishing rights, and if it has been online, they don't get them. Just an fyi so you're aware.

I see the point you're making, but a lot of people use tropes as a shopping list, much as some people use trigger warnings. Plus, for authors, it's kinda fun to make.
You could always find a small independent publisher. You should go to querytracker and see what pops up.
I swear this whole thing is so unreal that if I wrote it, people would say it was unrealistic.
