I use lots of these - also bathroom loofahs, toothbrushes, a plastering trowel…. It’s endless discovery - with each different ink and surface giving new small insights!

This is a small piece on canvas board (8” x 8”)
The black ink I ground from a Japanese ink stick. The yellow is an acrylic ink. The red is handmade from red ochre quarried in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.
I made it with a wallpaper scraper.
