As much as we're meant to be rooting for the Na'vi in the Avatar movies, it's abundantly obvious that Cameron's true love is military-grade hardware, in all its greasy glory. Cameron is just a big budget Gerry Anderson.
Honestly, this is one of the best flying scenes I've ever seen. Just no nonsense... a dude taking off, without any dumb crouching on the ground or leaving behind an impact crater.

Look, I enjoyed it enough to watch it twice - the second time with my wife, who also enjoyed it a lot - but you didn't. I'm not going to explain why you should enjoy it or not. I don't feel it should add anything to the MCU. It was just a Marvel Spotlight on a great character - two of them, in fact.
