We haven't gotten our guidance yet. I'm at Delgado.
#Academicsky the K-12 teachers of Vancouver, Wa (outside Portland) are walking out tomorrow. Like all academics, they are forbidden to speak to the press.
#AcademicSky there's a position open at a college that I would be very interested in 5+ years from now (pension related hesitation). Would it be incredibly unprofessional to apply and just see if I can make it past the first round of interviews?
The recipe for the stew I just made called for "5 potatoes, cubed."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but 125 potatoes seems a little bit excessive.
You have a couple eligible!

The community note is the icing on the cake.
Really sorry to hear that. I lost one about a decade ago. It hurts. They're my history.
I wish. Nothing more relaxing than checking in with a bear at rest. Y'all eat more than cats, though.
#nolasky Dian Xin has been closed. ICE raid at the chefs residence. May re-open Friday.
π I'm dead. I have a whole shelf of cat books.

Slide from presentation by Jamie Zvirzdin, shows a white lightbulb on black background. Our Own Neural Networks Your brain is the ultimate multipurpose problem-solving machine: -adaptable, -fast (~1 exaFLOP*), -robust, -creative, and -energy-efficient (20 watts vs. 20 megawatts). Have a little faith in it when it comes to writing! *1 exaFLOP = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 floating-point operations per second (FLOPS). Links to NIST, PCMag, DOE, and Wikipedia
Have a little more faith in your own neural network.
Learn to write well in science. We need honest, good science writing. Doesn't have to be perfect.

We are all really busy with Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Why can't he close his mouth? Adenoids?
LSU has some open source materials on keeping a lab notebook for project based courses that are GREAT. The lab notebook lecture is in Unit 1 found here:

I'm prepping for my first NSF proposal and reading some of these education research papers has me so excited I keep shouting in my kitchen. I love being a scientist.
I've got a hard sell as a community college phys prof with my students. It ends when I bust out photos of the total eclipse seen from an Ozark mountain resort with my dad, my best friend, and 42 students. Can't buy having a life. β€οΈ. No path is easy, but they're all great.
