Skyrim really is just The One that I'll always come back to.
It was the game that kicked off my adult gaming journey and it'll always be special to me ๐ซถ๐ป
I desperately wanted to like The Acolyte, I wanted it to prove the dude bros wrong, but I really feel it wasnโt up to the same standard as other SW shows. It had a lot of potential but it just fell so flat for me.
Yeah thatโs the angle I was thinking of, on a second watch it couldnโt help but get the same vibes (obviously worlds apart in terms of movies, but you get what i mean)
Itโs not 100% a bad thing, thereโs a lot to love about Romulus, most of my issues with it lie in the second half. But the forced nostalgia moments feel so misplaced and lazy in a movie I thought was going to be more of an independent take.
On a second watch Iโve come to the conclusion that Alien: Romulus is The Force Awakens of the franchise.

I stopped watching AEW after I went to their first Wembley show precisely for this reason. It was just a constant disappointment seeing the same group of men being pushed every week. And despite being a fan of these dudes it got so damn boring and frustrating!
