File > Export Image exports the image of the page, because that's the menu bar for the program Wigglypaint is made in.
The big export button at the bottom left is the one that exports your art as a gif.
(And wigglypaint comes from internet-janitor.itch.io/wigglypaint )

Sorry to butt in, but that's a reupload site run by someone who didn't make Wigglypaint, they're just using it to try to profit off of artists. (through ad revenue and $50 "premium subscriptions")

Oh, no no no! I'm friends with IJ and I'm involved in Decker stuff pretty heavily these days, but it's his post and his program.
I just have a lot of feelings about the exploitation of my communities (art, software and the whole world).
But somehow I find hope, because people do still care. (Thank you again)

The locked tools thing is one of the things that's hard to explain to people who don't get it (thank you for seeing it for what it is). It takes away people's power to customize their experience for themselves or learn about how it was made. An open tool becomes a railroaded product.
And yeah, Jigglypaint changed their name after a bunch of artists got mad at them on their youtube announcement. (Which still says Wigglypaint...)
They said they were "the wigglypaint devs" for a while, so I get it why people on ig would be confused about it. (Anyway, thank you for listening! ๐ญโค๏ธ)
None of these other sites/apps go above 16 colors because it would take a lot more work to edit the underlying program (Decker) that Wigglypaint is built in... at least compared to copy-pasting a button 16 times and changing the number in the button to refer to one of the other existing colors.

(Sorry to butt in with lore, but I'm a poster from the thread that fragile linked.) Decker, the program that Wigglypaint is made in, always has 16 colors and a bunch of other black and white patterns. The process to bring wigglypaint up to having 16 markers is 5 minutes of copy-pasting, honestly.

It's so true... drawing with a cheap pen on scrap paper is one of the most powerful mediums I've ever known.

Sorry to butt in, I wanted to clarify... Wigglypaint is available for free on itch.io and newgrounds, uploaded by the original creator.
Jigglypaint and all of the .com and .net wigglypaints are third parties who took the original program and reuploaded it.
