Massive shout out for the Polyhedron mini-game, Hijinx, in which there’s no combat—instead, the band fights off bad vibes from grumps in the audience by the power of performance. Or something.

May I ask who the variant cover is by?
I am looking to run things for three folks (ref + 2 ”players”) & that let me experiment a bit.
My Traveller gaming may go solo for a bit. But that’s okay.
Also, some historical TTRPGs?
- 43AD/ Warband
- <waves hands> some other Roman Republic/ Empire TTRPGs
- Flashing Blades
- Gangbusters
I am circling around running any of the following for the Ludonauts/ Ludovores:
- Matrons of Mystery
- The Warren
- Modus Operandi
- Liminal
- Bookhounds of London
- Forgotten Futures
- Odd Soot
Fun film. Dare I ask if you have seen Cocaine Bear yet? Would recommend.
I am so sorry to read about Vance. Thoughts are with you all, Bob.
My BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Iain M. Banks' The State of the Art can now be found and played here: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
This weekend, The TTRPG Group Formerly Know as the Starslugs (most likely new name either Ludonauts or Ludovores) will take a run at Mythic Bastionland. chrismcdee.itch.io/mythic-basti...
Thought of one more! Diaspora, the Fate-based SFRPG of interstellar trade. Seems to be set to troupe-style as the default. evilhat.com/product/dias...
I have been looking seriously at a couple of the “Without Number” games as the basis for an SF Open Table—largely because there are free editions and the OSR familiarity. Deffo not my favourite system but it has its uses.
The internet is not dead yet but corporations are sucking the aquifers (websites) dry while dumping industrial waste (AI slop) into it.

Google is eating its seed corn
🤣
And how is it?
Hmmm … will ponder that. I just find percentages easy to grok & like Clarence’s other stuff immensely.
Has anyone mentioned “Scum & Villainy” yet? evilhat.com/product/scum...
Intergalactic Bastionland is coming, apparently! www.bastionland.com/2026/02/inte...
Stellar Adventures? Advanced Fighting Fantasy for SF? store.arion-games.com/product/stel...
Yeah, Clarence also tried to tackle social challenges with the Comae Engine. I do need to pick that up. The social circles thing seems really interesting in both M-Space and Odd Soot.
An unopened action figure package. Inside is Jean Luc Picard, but dressed in a gardeners outfit, tan hat and overalls with a blue undershirt, that he wore for a portion of one episode. It comes with a gardening tool, scanner, and carrying case the figurine can hold.
My sister got me this for Christmas because she couldn’t believe they made an action figure of “Dirt Farmer Picard”
M-Space. You want M-Space.
Starships & Spacemen, 2nd edition? GURPS or d20 Prime Directive?
Legacy does have a generation ship supplement and a planetfall supplement. FYI, and all that.
Ah. I won’t bother suggesting Rifts Savage Worlds then.
I have opinions about that … but …
All part of the genre’s rich history, my hoopy frood.
