Also saw people blame the fire at the Vondelkerk on immigrants, rather than, you know, the β¬129 million spent on fireworks. Or even waiting until actual experts investigate the cause.

My New Yearβs resolution, after years of having the same one, Iβll be changing this year. 1920x1080 it is.
Saddened to see the Vondelkerk in Amsterdam, where we got married, on fire last night. www.nu.nl/jaarwisselin...
Not sure where I saw it but someone called this βstealworkersβ, which made me chuckle.
Then watch Retribution and youβve got Liam Neesonβs homage to βPlanes, Trains and automobilesβ
Iβm still a little disappointed we didnβt get the cheese. For a brief shining moment, I believed in the Wedding Cheese.
I honestly think the Dutch should start this tradition up.
Who agrees? π§π³π± (5/5)
a candle. So itβs probably good to pause here for a quick lesson in Dutch for the uninitiated:
Kaas = Cheese π§
Kaars = Candle π―οΈ
To the untrained ear, they sound similar. Well, thatβs my excuse.
Of course, a candle symbolizes light and love. It makes perfect sense for a church wedding. But...(4/5)
It actually made a lot of sense. Weβd even visited a cheese factory on our first date! So I was ready. I was prepared for this noble, sturdy, slightly nutty and, I assumed, heavy tradition.
Then came the big day. My mother-in-law walked in. She wasn't holding a cheese wheel. She was holding. (3/5)
I imagined a giant 120kg wheel of Edam π§. I figured weβd be eating it for the first 6 months of wedded bliss.
Guests would visit, and weβd say, βAh, yes, have a slice of the wedding cheese.β
Iβm not even a huge cheese fan, but hey, the Dutch are big on dairy farming. It seemed logical. (2/5)
Have you heard about the Dutch π³π± tradition of giving cheese at a wedding? No?
Neither had I.
But back before our wedding, my future mother-in-law told me she was getting us (or so I thought) a cheese for the ceremony. I was immediately charmed. (1/5)
I remember seeing the video of this for sale in, I think Hong Kong or Singapore. The title was translated to βthe man who came from Englandβ.
Good call, but check as the festival is on I think so might be busy. Also I missed Liverpool off the list π€¦πΌββοΈ
+1 for York. But thereβs so much.
Edinburgh. North Yorkshire coast - Holy Isle. If youβre looking for outdoors, then youβve got the Lake District, Peal District or the Dales. If youβve got transport then a drive around Scotland is nice. City break then Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle.

Yojimbo on the big screen at the Eye film museum in Amsterdam was definitely worth it. Funny than I recall.
Perhaps he should have used AI to help with the emotional and mental load of advising the staff heβd just fired.
It sounds like an interesting article to be fair. Perhaps the the AI is just quoting the article from the future. Youβve not written it yet, but if this hallucination then inspires you to write the actual article. What does that mean? π€
Oops. I realise there is at least 2 spoilers mentioned here.
Indeed and given βsomehow Palpatine returnedβ, they can surely find a way to find out what Andor, Bix and the gang got up to after Yavin.
It says something when the thing that stood out for me was seeing Liam Neeson as a Girl Scout in the trailer for the Naked Gun remake. 4/4
If youβre expecting pace and energy, youβll be disappointed, if youβre expecting a thriller which focuses on grief, revenge and blowing up swimming pools on the 16th floor, then youβll probably enjoy it. 3/4
Iβd like to have seen the main character fumbling more on his adventures and more steps in his growth as he goes from being buried in a basement before learning to fly. Itβs not a bad movie. But one which doesnβt quite pull off what it was trying too I think. 2/4
Just watched βThe Amateurβ which could have been called βNerd Bourneβ or βTeckie Takenβ. I think the pacing of the trailer is not the same as the movie. The movie is a lot slower. The plot had a few too many holes (for a spy/thriller). It felt like a movie trying to do a few too many things. 1/4
