Last year there were 35, which matched a record set from over a decade ago. We’re already almost a third of the way there and it’s only March.

Reupping.
Not only did Trump minimize possibility of terrorist attacks on US. But White House nixed a law enforcement bulletin ABOUT those threats.
Also disclosing sensitive info to the Saudis. Wild scenes.

Summary of recent HHS departures:

Yet human cassowary and denim enthusiast RFK Jr. remains.
Where's Vance? Is this future propaganda for a Trump/Rubio ticket?
US already lifted some sanctions - on India’s purchases of oil from Russia and on Rosneft German assets.
Donald Tusk » @donaldtusk • 3h The war in the Middle East continues and chaos is spreading. Oil prices are going up. Washington may lift sanctions on Russian oil. Who is the real winner here?
WH official: “We want to seize all the oil from Iran. The long-term benefit is getting massive oil reserves out of the hands of terrorists.”
The United States, which has placed the Gulf states in these difficult circumstances, must bear the economic consequences of its actions. It is only natural for the Gulf states to reconsider their previous investment agreements with it and to redirect their interests in a manner that preserves their security and stability. Major adventures always generate economic repercussions.
This rendezvous is throwing off SNL yet again hours before the show.
The language jokes continued with Hegseth saying “he only speaks American”
U.S. Central Command #@CENTC…..4h It's never fair when a B-52 is involved. "This was never meant to be a fair fight, and it is not a fair fight. We are punching them while they're down." - Secretary of War Pete Hegseth
Great summary.
hilariously softened headline about the departure of Kennedy Center's National Symphony Orchestra director: "Kennedy Center loses NSO director to major L.A. performance center" no mention that the trumps and the thiels and the richie grenells have absolutely wrecked the joint causing myriad cancellations and departures
UPDATE 8: LA Times—owned by billionaire weirdo Patrick Soon-Shiong let's not forget—types up equally weird headline claiming Kennedy Center "lost" (like a set of car keys) its symphony-orchestra director
Jean Davidson bolted bc venerated-arts institution has been reduced to a punchline

I can’t believe how stupid everything is
If there’s a silver lining here, it’s that Talarico, Platner and Spanberger have all done really strong and beautifully executed versions of this over the past couple weeks, and it’s likely to be the narrative backbone for Dems this cycle (unless the mod blobs knocks them off course)
Was looking for something else but just stumbled over this… we were doing everything we could to try to get Harris to change course and avoid the stupid iceberg as far back as early Sept. Change, econ, perceptions of extremism. It was all there.
NEW: Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) & Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) launch review of $220 million taxpayer-funded Dept of Homeland Security ad campaign w/ Kristi Noem
Senators seek records about "circumstances surrounding the awarding of this lucrative, no-bid contract..."
There have been some very bad developments today.
Oh.
“We have agreed” — how nice of them! Surely they’re doing this work pro bono right?
I’m seeing a ton of this floating around.
It’s true, we’re bombing the hell out of Iran, but this war isn’t as one sided as they’d have you believe. In a week, the US has lost at least two (possibly more) AN/TPY-2 radar.
We have less than 15 of them and they take years to make.
350,000 peoples’ lives hang in the balance. A majority entered the U.S. legally and have never been in violation of any immigration law. They’ve had to go through multiple background checks. And yet they’re hanging on by a thread, even though the situation in Haiti hasn’t gotten any better.
