In the June 2025 Whaley Bridge Town Council meeting, Ruth George was appointed, via co-option, to the post of Town Councillor in the ward of Fernilee; a post vacated by Cllr Linden Smith, whom the Council thanks for her dedicated service up until this date.

This week our Whaley4Wards volunteers are sprucing up Footsteps Café. Joe, Bill & Ian are giving the café's woodwork some TLC to make it look smart again.

TREE LIGHTS SWITCH-ON
Saturday 30 November. 5:30pm.
This year the ceremony has relocated to its new home at the canal basin, where carols and the Nativity story will follow the lantern parade, which has also changed to a new route along Shallcross Incline.
