Google Ads Support really needs to get its act together. Called me at 5 am in the morning - 3 times. Then told me I was wrong about a fault in Google Ads.

Forks and gits and things...are stuff I keep meaning to get around to understanding...But I don't ever do it. I like the concept of a simple and uncomplicated website, though.

I'm always astounded at the number of web pages I see that don't have Canonicalization set up from the get-go.

Yes, We are - and its a brilliant way of replacing the old way of multiple code snippets to track conversions - but Google ads is now nagging saying your tag is not set up - except it is!

Remember Universal analytics before the days of tag manager? You used to have to write a tag for everything that you wanted to track. It seems to me like those days are back.

And I think that is OK. Despite working in digital, I'm rejecting being forced to do everything online. I actively request phone calls or letters for something.

Why does Google constantly have to fiddle? - loads of ad accounts are now nagging that they don't have a Google Tag. Ours were all set up using GTM, and now it's looking like everything has to be redone - it's Tedious.
