Japanese govt is not investing in Scotland. The Fund it has put will buy land & £ goes to landowner - a transfer payment, not an investment. Most of the cost of planting trees will be paid for by public grants & tax breaks. & this will increase conc pattern of landownership. Happy days.

Yes this is appalling the abandonment of environmental protection in England with the new Planning Bill
