Prototyping 3 new enemies for Hypermancer:

-A rival who grows anytime someone else grows.
-A power hungry gambler who bets on whether the player will grow during their turn or not.
-A paladin of anatomy who punishes characters who grow too much.

I had to spend 3 hours debugging some code someone "wrote" with ai because, for some reason, the ai had decided that it was only going to write the code by using class constructors. Like, every function was a new class and constructor.

A simple script was nested about 7 levels unnecessarily.

Oh they have names and people are ~very~ passionate about them.

Yet here we are, with people calling "Ai usage core competency of software engineering"
It sure makes garbage, nearly unreadable code real fast.

Same people who would have hours long arguments over the style guide of CamelCase vs. snake_case...

My field of work has been stuck using C99 (1999!) due to safety, reliability, and compatibility concerns, and that we've been desperately trying to go to C++11 (2011) but it keeps being blocked by that.
I really didn't think I would ever have to even think about Ai in the workplace for decades.
