Yes! You can use 2x and 4x speed when you are in a battle, or just walking around. This makes traveling and grinding less tedious. Also there are teleport stones to teleport to other towns/locations, and airships to get from town to town.

Average playtime if you’re just doing the main story is around 40-50 hours. Thankfully, the Zodiac Age version has 2x and 4x speed options to keep the time short.

That was definitely one of my favorite scenes to write. I thought “wait a minute- Basch is grieving too!” So I wanted to include it.

Time for me to buy another videogame!

One thing that struck Larsa upon seeing these cells, rows and rows of them, was that every single one of them was occupied. Why are there so many prisoners? It was quite easy for an ardent to avoid arrest for being in a gentry-only space. If an Imperial guardsman caught them, they would simply be given a warning and allowed the opportunity to leave by their own choosing; only refusal to leave the premises would warrant an arrest.

So why this? How could this have happened? Were there truly this many ardents refusing to leave gentry-only spaces? Was it possible that Larsa’s speech about eliminating the Chop System could have influenced this? Larsa highly doubted that. While the laws were still in place, there were consequences, and most Archadians were not the sort to question authority.

“Penelo,” Larsa frowned, his eyes scanning each and every forlorn face he passed on his way through the hallway. “This is unusual. There normally isn’t this many people arrested for such an easily avoidable crime. I’ve never seen such a high level of occupancy in this section. Something is amiss.” “You know… When Balthier was caught, he wasn’t given a chance to leave the gala,” Penelo was fidgeting with a ruby ring Augustia had adorned her with as she glanced nervously from one cell to the next. “Rhys had him arrested immediately.”

“What?” Larsa stopped walking, the echoes of his bootsteps ceasing. He gazed over at the cells to his left. “And I’d wager these people were denied that same right. That would certainly explain why there are so many of them.”
