There is literary attestation but no firm archaeological evidence as of yet.
Could be, since the iconography is similar. I would lean towards Moses only because of the parallel Old Testament theme with Noah, and the lack of guards that are usually (though not always) in the Peter/rock scene. Good call!
Are you sure that's Moses, and not Peter?
catacomb burial chamber. On the back wall is a tomb about head height that has been dug out. Below, an arch reaching up from the floor. The walls are painted white with various decorations, incluing the figures mentioned in the text.
Burial chamber from the catacomb of Saints Peter and Marcellinus. On the left Moses strikes the rock. On the right Noah pops out of the ark. In the center TWO magi approach the Virgin Mary and child Jesus.

The central medallion was heavily restored in the 19th c. and some would argue many of the original details obscured. For example, Jesus is depicted as bearded here, whereas in many other early Christian depictions of the baptism (such as the one in the Arian baptistery) he is shown beardless.
To see this mosaic of the #Baptism of Christ in person is breathtaking. Commissioned in the 5th c. it decorates the dome of the Orthodox Baptistery in #Ravenna. Around the central medallion is a procession of the 12 apostles (Paul being the 12th!)
