14 years ago last night a full moon rose.
10” or 24cm of super fluffy joy on top. There was more but it settled some.
They needed to extend their hours for that. lol.
5 years ago last night I saw the aurora stretching across the southern sky above Turnagain Arm and through Orion.

This was Sat around 450-455pm.
A window seat view flying from Girdwood to Anchorage this weekend. Actual flying time was about 5 min.

Derby is ending the week with just over 1 inch of snow. More snow is expected for garbage day, but Derby won’t be able to keep track of that snow because there’s a more important job to do.

The moon is out tonight! It's 99.3% full at the time of this photo and still appears round/not flat.
Derby is reporting a glaze of ice. The lid is frozen shut. It is also freezing sprinkling out.

Sorry there is no official snow report from Derby due to Garbage Day. I think 8.5” fell since last night and a 2 day total of 10.5”.
