This is theft. I can see why Donald Trump and the people who follow him might get the two confused.
I also had to transfer some stock, from the same purchase we'd both made back then, to myself. It took me two days, start-to-finish, because we asked our accountant for advice and he didn't get back to us until the next day.
We recently had to transfer ownership of some stock from my partner (under her former married name) to herself (under her current name, which is also her birth name).
