I started with crochet and then learned to knit. Once I accepted that I am just incapable of controlling yarn with my right hand and tried Continental, knitting became easier than crochet. Crochet tires out my hands faster and it usually makes my wrist start crackling after an hour or so.

This is Lyrical Knits Monty Python MKAL. I knit it in white with gradient turquoise. It's my probably my favorite thing I have ever made- I worked on it while we did home hospice for my mom and it saved my sanity. This pic was taken the morning I finished it- it's not blocked and I'm still in my pajamas. I was so excited. This was 9 days before my mom died.

This is Lyrical Knits' The Muppet Shawl MKAL. I started this not long after I finished the Monty Python one and gifted it to my mother in law. I made this in purple with just 2 accent colors- pale pink and silver gray. It was so much fun and I want to make another one for myself in the rainbow color scheme. Someday! 🌈

Oh, I'm so sorry. I quarantine any new wool from iffy sources- thrift stores. I have a large cedar chest (fb marketplace find) for the expensive stuff. Cheaper wool lives in plastic tubs with cubes of cedar. Probably mothballs would work better, but I don't want to smell them! Cedar is pleasant.

In a sock you forgot all about, in a project bag you have also forgotten, stuffed inside a bigger tote at the back of your closet.
At least that's where MINE were! 🤣
