There's a cafe that specializes in middle eastern desserts that I go to maybe once a month. The woman who makes the desserts does fantastic work. But there's some lore there - her business partner is her ex? But they seem like besties?

Obviously, I need to investigate (eat more warbat kashta).

Today's happy news is that my mom finished radiation treatments this week and gets her port out in two weeks. We can officially say she kicked cancer's ass. 💪🏼🩷

I think I talked myself down from the patterns I wanted from Nashville because I am too dependent on PDFs anyway. 🤔

It's February 5th and I am over a month into my pattern no-buy. I had a couple of exceptions:

-Two Patreons (been cycling between designers to help support their work)
- One donation-based pattern (because I was donating to the org anyway, so why not?)

Anyway, I have been crafting more because it's been incredibly grounding for my mental health. No shock there. Today, I colored valentines with a group at work. A few days ago, kinusaiga. Last week, weaving. Tonight I'll frog my cross stitch, but be back stitching again tomorrow.

I shouldn't have shared that WIP yesterday because today I need to frog half of it, UGH.

Just saw a picture of stuffed animals in the woman's car and man...I really am struggling to find the words right now. This is all just so unspeakably devastating, and I don't know how we come back from it.

On the fourth day of croup-mas, my son gave to me.... The flu that started this whole thing.

Day 2 of croup, and kiddo is handling it like a champ. Me? Not so much. #tokenanxietygirl

1. Therapy is important.
2. Timelines can be goals/suggestions, and not end all be all.
3. It's okay to let go of previously held expectations and set new ones.
4. I am definitely allergic to MRI/CT contrast.
5. Grieve how you need to, but move forward when you can. People need you.

Hey, hi, hello. I've been burned out on social media. It's been a tough year personally. But we are almost on the other side! Because I am a project manager, here are my lessons learned of 2025:

Romantic comedies taught me that I am very likely to run into people I knew 20 years ago when I am in my hometown, but so far, nada.

Ghosts of Hometown Past: dude keeps waving at me in the hospital waiting room. No clue who he is. Too embarrassed to ask.
