Anyway Porsche 356 replicas are in the same category as AC Cobra replicas: really great and 1/10th the cost of an original. The 356 replicas are almost all mechanically Beetles/Super Beetles underneath and they’re a ton of fun.

Basically the same car as what I learned on (it had Super Beetle guts).

That would have been so nice and easy in comparison. Vintage manual gearboxes, even with synchromesh, are wildly fussy compared to newer manuals.

It was my (25 years ago) girlfriend’s. She invested in Krispy Kreme, made bank, and bought her (replica) dream car. She had me drive it to Laguna Beach and yelled at me every time I needed to start at a red light on a 25% grade hill between 10 other cars.
