Yeah, we tried some of the drugs with my mom. Not at all helpful, just bad dreams and increased anxiety. But worth a try, I guess—maybe they work for some people.
My mom went through a 20 year decline (she died in 2017 at 94). If I learned anything, it was to not try to correct her every time she got something wrong. Moving forward and enjoying the moment and laughing a lot worked better for everybody.
