Also got to drop in on bookshops in Mumbai and Goa that are stocking Dream Hunters which was an amazing thing to do - lovely to meet the booksellers and hope their readers enjoy my interpretation of a middle grade fantasy set in India!
Just got back from a 2 week trip to India. Was lovely to be back and to visit places that inspired my book as well as seeking inspiration for new things! Bustling Mumbai, the citadel fort of Jaisalmer and laid back Goa.

some conversations this morning have me wondering: book folks, what do you wish there were more of in how books are covered? and by that I mean: lists? reviews? columns? themed essays? straight-up recommendations? something else I've never thought of?
If looking for books for presents Dream Hunters is in all good bookshops and is also reduced by 25% on the big river site.
There are barriers to seeing books set in a diverse range of settings reaching their young readers I’m lucky to have had a lot of support. I’m hoping book 2 has a smooth journey and that you like it. I think I like it - of course that feeling may dim a little after eleventy billion edits!…/2
As I edit book 2 I wanted to journey back to where the story began. I’m so grateful to my agent, editors and publisher for seeing something in the story and to the booksellers, teachers and librarians who put the books in front of the children it’s written for…/1

Hi I’m an author of childrensbooks and write middle grade fiction. My debut Dream Hunters came out August 1st.
Currently editing book 2 and ruminating on the next book idea. In my day job I work as a children’s doctor and researcher but in this space I’m mainly talking about kidlit and my writing.
