The problem with many "scientific" approaches is that they work in theory, but don't reflect how people operate in the real world in practice. I like that FairVote talks practice, but I'm not wedded to them. And everyone is advocating for something - there's room for disagreement. Be well!
No - This doesn't disprove my point. In this example, everyone voted for every candidate. This is highly unrealistic - in the Mamdani example folks made it clear to NOT rank Cuomo if you don't want him. You only vote for ppl you support, so the winner still had support from a majority of voters.
