Genuinely unsure what you mean by this, he cost reduces the equip cost. That’s a form of free equip that the designers put a restriction on. Simple as.

like I'm not gonna fight someone who just has a hate boner for a living game shifting away from their ideal version of the game. Valid personal opinion, but the WotC hate train all the time is fucking tiring.

one of my Magic pet peeves is jaded fans chalking up the 7 sets a year + UB hate to only corporate greed, when:

1. It's not new for a company to try to make money
2. They wouldn't do it if there wasn't an audience for it

It's fine to dislike these things, but it's not that simple.

Yeah. I don’t love some the art directions in UB, but frankly I also don’t always love UW art choices.

Which is fine, not everything is for me.

That being said the Turtles set is frankly awesome.

I’m just burnt on constant new cards and been enjoying a few core EDH decks I’ve played for years now with occasional updates.

I really love Magic the Gathering and think the current sets are much better then most people give credit, but god I’d be lying if I said I haven’t hit my point of “too many set, Christ, I still have FF cards that haven’t shown up in opening hands yet.”

James Franco sucks as a person but I’d be lying if his films were not a guilty pleasure of mine.
