Thinking again about word choice discourse in sex scenes. Not liking "folds" or "moist" because it's "icky".
Personal preference is whatever, you can hate these words. Fine.
However, sometimes the perceived "ick" of a word, I feel, can actually make scenes sexier. Depends on what you're going for.

KOSA passed out of the subcommittee in the House on 13-10 vote. Meaning that they are FINALLY listening to some opposition. But not enough to prevent the other age verification bills from passing, let alone this.

Definitely! The only time I do remember to write character description is when it's important for the story. But then yeah it's done in edits.

The design here is camouflage & intended to be a privilege. They've broken the rules, yet still given an advantage over the peers they're placed among

His counterpart, his wife who's the main LI, is described far more attractive by the other lead, despite also being average. Because she's the LI

I know it's not usual or even very good for a character describe their LI as "unattractive". But I've kinda done so. On purpose!

He's not the main LI but it's very intentional in his character design that he's the most mid/average man ever. But that's what makes the other characters so into him.

I always just get to, "they have...a face." Nailed it 👍

I've started to try to pick out character descriptions more often when I read now. And it also helps to try and make a sim/character creator so I always have a reference image. Still difficult. But 100% a struggle

Haven't been writing much lately because *gestures wildly*
But I have been playing some solo & journaling ttrpgs.

Will get back to writing soon now that I've figured out a direction for a thing.

The Woods All Black by Lee Mandelo

Definitely what I needed to read right now. Short but certainly not overly sweet, just a dash. Very cathartic.

& they're thrilled about their kid dating a trans man who's a butch lesbian (she/her). Because "humans can do that? There's options?!"

(The butch isn't a human, but they don't know that)

Their kid being in a complicated relationship? That's cool, "I thought your dad was going to be pregnant"

Not upset about it but that doesn't mean it *fits*. Being beyond gender & human sex and being forced into a human body? Ick. But they deal. But they're also experiencing attraction for the first time through the human lens they've been given.

All I'm saying is that the two married fallen angels "seem" cishet.
One of the angels literally goes on a whole rant about how she thought the *other* was going to end up being the pregnant one. Knew it was gonna happen to one of them, but she gets stuck in a "woman's" body

Addie POV: "...this butch was vain."
Angie POV: "The man was vain..."

They're both correct about Lian's identity
