Related: my net $60k price for a 1st Edition 4Motion looks quite reasonable against that $58k for a Pinnacle AWD eh, especially given negligible operating costs.
I’m highly disappointed. VW remains the only comparable offering in the market, stagnant without competition. Maybe Mercedes will step in.
The PHEV Pacifica was introduced for the 2017 model year. And now come the 2027 model it’s gone. Only ICE Pentastar drivetrains on offer, a new fascia, and the same L2 ADAS package on our old 2018 and 2019 ones.
Honda’s coming out with battery powered lawn mowers. I’ll look into this if/when my 25” Greenworks kicks the bucket. (The Greenworks is fine but definitely a step or three below my old gas Honda in mulching performance.)

Started at home at 89% so a repeat 39% SOC trip here even though it was legit winter this time. That heat pump apparently does wonders to level the playing field for winter trips.
Postscript: got the kids’ ski gear laid out and proper skis and poles in the car. Car, boot, and glove batteries all charging. Baby Aya was quite pleased with my initiative in hauling out Giant (53” Costco) Bear for her to sleep with in Yuna's room
Anyway, I made it. Passed a ton of people going up Berthoud Pass. Slogged it down slowly in line with everyone else.

Driving up was a shit show and a half
Oddly no issues at Floyd Hill. Instead idiot truckers ignoring the “all CMV must chain up” boards and idiot passenger car drivers* made it a positive quagmire from C-470 to just before the Lookout Mountain exit. Probably 12 stuck semis + 12 stuck cars.
11” and change and still snowing after the snow stake was recently cleared. It’ll be the only good day this year tomorrow :-D

Between Thai Pot declining, only having an hour between contrast cases to pop out, and the weather I ate there. Got a Turkish pide, which was delicious. Very dry scone not my thing, but I would eat more pide in the future.
