I’m a year late to the bandwagon but here’s a sketch of Homotherium latidens inspired by Prehistoric Planet Season 3
At a forest clearing, you're greeted by the guardian, the wise old man of the forest, Gigantopithecus blacki. Recent commission of the big guy, inspired by #prehistoricplaneticeage. Although this guy is a Pongine-->
Studies of the elephants for which we actually know what the size and morphology of external ear looks like. From left to right woolly mammoth, asian elephant, savannah elephant, forest elephant. Scaled to around same head size
There we go, the first formation piece of the year 2025.
The upper Bugti member of the Chitarwata formation has a lot of megafauna (and not much else), but it contains one of the few instances where Paraceratherium and proboscideans overlapped.
Jefferssons Ground sloth (Megalonyx jeffersonii) and living Two-toed sloth
Digital rendering of a sea turtle with leatherback-inspired dark blue coloration. It has a long (by turtle standards) tube-shaped snout
The gigantic, tube-nosed, possibly suction-feeding sea turtle Ocepechelon - one of the weirdest animals of the Late Cretaceous in my opinion

A Coahuilasaurus looks at something out of frame. It was in the middle of drinking at a river. Some water droplets can be seen falling from its mouth and its reflection can be seen below it in the water. Coahuilasaurus is a hadrosaurid that was discovered in Mexico.

Platybelodon. I think I need to revise it a bit though
The dwarf mammoth mammuthus exilis
"King of Meadows" - Prospective printmaking design. I'm not sure how large this would need to be nor if I'd need to do woodcut or linocut. Or if it'd be better off being screenprinted.
But...whatever I decide in the far flung future here's the art for it. #art #printmaking #megaloceros #pleistocene
Wild and weird variety of artiodactyls
Pencil drawing of the head and neck of a Citipati, a feathered dinosaur with a prominent head crest and a beak, carrying a dead Zalambdalestes, an opossum-like mammal.
I've worn this joke out elsewhere after several years, but: new platform, et cetera.
Don't forget that during the Mesozoic, the 'turkeys' eat you.
Happy Thanksgiving, USian friends.
Citipati and Zalambdalestes. From 2017/18.

Digital painting showing a fiery, apocalyptic landscape somewhere in North America, several months after the Chicxulub Impact. Two partridge-like birds forage in the foreground, illuminated by the orange flow of distant wildfires. Looming above waves/piles of carcasses & logs is the charred skull of the iconic horned dinosaur Triceratops.
Reconstruction of the pycnodont fish Scalacurvichthys naishi in the style of classic scientific illustration plates.
Digital paintings of the trilobite Gabriceraurus, the gastropod Trochonema, the crinoid Iocrinus, the cystoid Pleurocystites, the nautiloid Plectoceras, the bryozoan Constellaria, & the brachiopods Hiscobeccus & Platystrophia in a poster format on a white background.
Digital painting of the huge ceratopsian dinosaur Titanoceratops ouranos foraging in the swampy jungles of what is now New Mexico, some 75 million years ago.

Hey all! 👋
To introduce myself for any newcomers, I'm a primarily digital artist with an interest in paleontology. I draw a lot of dinosaurs, as well as some creature art and fanart (particularly Jurassic Park).
