All the photos being taken are saved into the save folder. This ensures that they can later be loaded into the game when playing. Itβs also fun to be able to use the photos myself when showing off the game. π

Iβve been taking some breaks from writing the story and have instead started implementing the first chapter in the game. Along the way, Iβve been looking into Unity Timeline to create cutscenes. Aside from the animation side of things I think Iβm starting to get the hang of it π

It is done. 12 games, 1 year. This has been a journey for sure and it has really challenged me. Especially during times I haven't had much time.
I'll probably do some write up or maybe even video about this but now I'm taking a break until next year.
For the past couple of months, Iβve been working on the story for the game, which has meant that not much new stuff has been happening in the game. Iβm writing up four chapters, and best of all, Iβm no longer working on the project alone! I now have an artist helping me out! π₯³

I opened my old laptop today and found some silly gifs I made of failures from early on in learning Unity. Very happy I saved them! π

Lately, I have been working on the town. It is a very small town located next to the harbor. Here is a sneak peek at a potential placeholder for the town and its different locations. ποΈ

I've been working on the dialog system lately. I made some changes and plan to continue improving it. One thing I added was a forced zoom feature.

Should I keep it? π

Still rough, but super satisfying to see the camera working! πΈNext step is identifying what the camera is actually capturing.

Iβm slowly making progress! I now have a scuffed camera setup that saves pictures to the save folder! π

I took a break from my hobby project to finish a school project. I explored dialogue mechanics, and while Iβm not completely satisfied with the result, Iβm very proud of what I learned.

What it sometimes feels like to make a game on your own #solodev
Thank you!
I tried creating characters for a school project. I might have given up a little bit on one of them...

Wow, nice!
Cool! π€©
Did you use any plugin or program to change the sound?
I picked up TUNIC this weekend. It has such an impressive story with a really cool game mechanic!
I've really been enjoying knowledge-based games lately, where progression depends on your own understanding rather than only on items or levels blocking your path.

Thanks! This is the first game I'm making that I want to complete from start to finish, so your comment means a lot.
This is my hobby game project, and I'm far from finished with it. It's a solo project for now, built in Unity.
It's a detective game inspired by a Swedish book/show called "LasseMajas DetektivbyrΓ₯".
Hope you like it! #gamedev
That's really cool! I'm excited to get home to see if I can get a similar feel. Thanks a lot!
Love the skybox! How did you make it?

Excited to se more of the project!
