Screen shot of text from the end of an email that reads:
If you want, I can also write a much sharper version (still legally safe but far more cutting) that will really land with him and his solicitors.
Pro tip: if you're going to send someone a nonsense letter that you hope uses enough serious sounding "legal" language to be taken seriously, you should probably make sure you delete the bit at the end where ChatGPT offers to write a different version lol

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was “your piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.

Back of the envelope:
increase in suns power by early June.
Weekends use less power.
Some more solar added in 3 months.
Ireland could go over 50% solar power ar some point this year with domestic solar included

An extract from our most recent newsletter which reads:
That's five new solar farms in total so far this winter, raising the island's capacity from 1,095MW in summer of 2025 to 1525.5MW as of March 1, 2026. Assuming dispatch down doesn't escalate, we should again see ~50% year-on-year growth as we have over the past few years. Last year, we correctly predicted a "solar record season" running March-September. This record season has been slowly expanding, too, so with all this new capacity, we predict a new solar record in the first half of March 2026. We'll let you know in the next newsletter!
A stacked area chart of the electricity generation mix on the island of Ireland with the following fuel types: battery, pumped storage, biomass, waste-to-energy, hydro, solar, wind, oil, and gas. There is also a black line showing electricity demand.

🚨 No need to wait for our next newsletter!
As we predicted just last weekend in the premium edition of "Irish Grid Monthly", solar output on the island of Ireland reached a new all-time high yesterday: 889MW, equal to 17.5% of electricity demand at 1.15pm.

[We see a close up of a young white male, tanned, white teeth, coiffed hair clearly an influencer on social media. It is an image such as you see when social media posts are shown on the news. In the corner of the screen is named a location: DUBAI. He is staring slightly off-camera for several silent panels of the comic strip. His eyes move slightly. He is having a thought.]
From off-screen a newsreader’s commentary comes:
NEWSREADER:
Extraordinary images here
of an expat in Dubai
[The influencer’s eybrows raise slightly]
…Having their first ever geopolitical thought.
[CUT TO a BBC news scene. The BBC newsreader CLIVE MYRIE is talking to an interviewee next to the screen showing the social media influencer’s face. The interviewee’s name is David Jones].
CLIVE MYRIE:
To explain the significance of this moment we’re joined by David Jones, our Expat Thoughts correspondent
DAVID JONES:
Clive, this is momentous
It was caught on film at the end of an Instagram post titled: ‘Dubai Is Brilliant’.
[Pointing at the screen, the influencer’s expression still the same]
You can clearly see in the eyebrows here, the dawning realisation that there *might* be something in the world beyond his dickhead self.
It marks a *huge* departure from all the Dubai Expat’s previous thoughts.
CLIVE MYRIE:
Which are…?
DAVID JONES:
You've Got To Get Yourself Out Here Mate, Everything Is So Clean, I Don't Have To Pay Taxes,
I Am Incurious As To Why I Do Not Have To Pay Taxes, and Spa.
CLIVE MYRIE:
And might we see an expansion of these new Thoughts in coming days?
DAVID JONES:
I think we can expect to see:
“I Deserve To Be Airlifted By A Country I Pay No Tax To”
CLIVE MYRIE:
Mmm.
[Ends]

As spring arrives, a little glimpse over the past 24 hours of how the Irish grid is taking advantage of multiple sources of renewable energy:
- wind peaked at 80% of electricity demand last night
- solar peaked at 14% this afternoon -- a figure that was a summertime record as recently as 2024

Landscape format in acrylics on canvas. Rural coastal scene, abstracted into simple forms of organic shapes with a largely red flat landmass mostly on the right foreground and pale yellow water on the left which bleeds down into the red in the bottom left quadrant and extends beyond the red at the horizon as it reaches over the right hand edge. There are a couple of dark blue headlands or islands, one on either side as the water changes to pale lime on the right close to the horizon which is about two-thirds of the way up the painting. There are blue strands of rock close to the horizon between the two landmasses while in the centre faintly in the distance on the horizon are two more very pale blue islands or headlands that almost blend into the sky which is a soft whisk of pale blues and green with touches of alizarin. Signed bottom right, Liam Daly
Time for a #painting. From a couple of years ago "West Kerry" came out of happy times in the southwest of Ireland. Drinking in Caherdaniel, walking back for tea in Ventry, and pondering going out to that island but happy to stay sitting exactly where you are just enjoying the view. #art #SpeirGhorm
