And most of my girls are very different from each other with different goals & availability! But they all do still build a lot of valuable skills however they sell.

Every Girl/Troop/Serv Unit & Council make decisions abt their cookie season based on what works best for their area. For ex, we don't have a neighborhood conducive to door to door, but my girl sells at booths & online bc we live very far away from a lot of our family & friends.
Hey, just want to chime in as a GS Troop leader whose cookie season is wrapping up tomorrow ๐ preorders haven't been a thing for a while ๐คทโโ๏ธ But our girls still *hustle* & work hard to sell at booths & door to door & at "lemonade stands" (booths at their houses) as well as online.
My dad told him to go ahead & use the potty, Franz declined & they had a nice convo abt how nice the day & NC & the course was... my dad still talks about how nice it was to meet him & how natural he was to talk to. (I was there but too young to appreciate who he was at the time!)
100% worth watching for Denis Franz... aside from being a good actor, he's a good person. My dad met him in line for a porta potty at a Pro-Am golf tournament in Winston-Salem, NC @ the height of Hill St Blues. Franz was playing, my dad just a spectator at a random hole. ...
As someone who's had lifelong knotty muscles & back & shoulder pain & who's in her own "GenX building strength for the first time" journey (me thru Pilates), I think about your "unlocked" walk often! ๐ And yes, it's all the little things I can do without pain now that makes all the difference ๐
To my first post, yes, football=sports... but who even are these teams & why are they featured on a Duke Sports Medicine poster?? ๐ I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while ๐ค
Look, I spent a lot of time at Duke hospital last year while my dad was in after an accident, so I saw a lot of photos/posters of people Duke had helped/saved around & often had no tangible connection to Duke... but this is just *weird*!
What even *is* this poster? ๐ฌ Aside from the weird perspective(s) (?) and bad photoshop (??), what does this have to do with sports medicine? Or anything? How did this get printed, framed & hung up? Did a UNC patient swap it out as a joke? ๐
I 2nd & 3rd Levoit. We have a 400 in our living room, a 300 in our bedroom & a 200 in our guest room. The Enerrprise (our name for the big one) is set to full auto & often kicks into high gear when cooking or occasionally vacuuming but otherwise very quiet & reliable. (We also have 5 cats fyi ๐)
That moment hit me hard, not just bc of her compassion but I've been so worried that this day would break that young nurse & at that moment I realized she had what it took & I was so grateful..
His dusky nose gets me every time ๐ฅฐ
We got the bottom edge of that, too. Not nearly enough, but better than nothing.
My mom is allergic to cheese but loves it & has tried vegan cheeses with disappointing results over the years. I'll have to suggest this one to her!
That is awesome! Got me chair dancing this morning! ๐ถShort ๐ฃ & a loooooooooong ๐งฅ [dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna da da dummm]๐ถ
The Peaceful Quiet Void (for now) ๐ค
Thank you!
Omg, where did you find those glasses?! (I watched that glorious game & then called my then 9 yr old in to give her a lesson in poor sportsmanship when he pitched his hissy fit after they lost.)
Daaaaaaaamn! ๐ฎ That's gorgeous!
This is absolutely brilliant & gets to the heart of it. Bravo.
That is a wild picture! (I'm a NC native & I dont think I've ever seen anything like this! )
Ooo, I'm glad you had that split second to react & I hope all is ok with your shoulder! I had an "oh shit, this is going to happen... this is going to hurt" moment when I fell off a roof when I was 18. (Miraculously, was totally fine. Meanwhile, broke my foot taking a normal step 32 yrs later ๐)
Yay for Mr Stoney McMeancaterson! I hope he recovers quickly & isn't too tyrannical when he comes out of his fog ๐๐๐ฅฐ
Not great news ๐ฅบ I've been through this with a cat before & it's manageable but it isn't easy. My Skinnerville loving child sends her best to MC, too ๐
The level of detail & sheer scale of the logistics that goes into coordinating our service unit's cookie booth signups rivals some of the most complex logistics flows I've seen & can humble even the most organized among us. A box/pantry of supplies is child's play.
As a PTA mom & Girl Scout Troop leader & Troop Cookie Coordinator currently going through cookie season... I can attest, we live & breathe logistics ๐ซก
Well, hello! ๐
Spectacular flop, MC! (Still a trap ๐ ๐คทโโ๏ธ but max points for the adorable effort!)
