For a team that is expected to finish top3 at the end of the season, Lidl-Trek were noticeable absent today. We saw a bit from Quinn Simmons at Sante Maria, but he finished 63rd. Matteo Sobrero was their best finisher in 32nd place. #StradeBianche
Get out of here you did not! π²
The last 10 kilometers of the Trofeo Laigueglia can be watched here.

Yes, sprinters' galore.
Perhaps, if the racing turns out to be a snore fest up to the last 20k, they'd include some coast line roads for some wind action. We'll see. Still a missed op for Meeus/Danny/Marit.
Well, the organisers moved the finish to Brugge because of safety reasons π We haven't seen the new course being raced yet.. uh, hang on, is the finish not the same as the Elfstedenronde's finish, normally held in June? That has a much safer last 5k.
I can understand Visma to some extend.
RedBull Bora opt out of Ronde Van Brugge (f.k.a. De Panne)
Visma-LaB opt out of Ronde Van Brugge (f.k.a. De Panne)
Meeus would have loved to have a go at Brugge. Not sure why RBH opts out.
Flat tire for Wout, I rest my case.
But which one of the two is it? #samyn #wout
Bit of trivia on Tirreno-Adriatico's queen stage on March 14th, it starts in San Severino, birth place of Giulio Pellizzari and finishes on a steep climb into Camerino where the then six year old Pellizzari saw Michele Scarponi win a stage. He now lives in San Marino and has a Del Toro as neighbor.
This past week, I hear several people complain about ads on a particular results site and are considering subscribing. I have the following ad blocker and experience full and uninterupted traffic. I'm using Edge as browser. Just an FYI.

Update: Stefan KΓΌng suffered a fractured left thigh in a crash during today's Omloop. Due to the location and severity of the injury, surgery is required. He will spend the night in a hospital in Belgium before being transferred to Switzerland. The operation is scheduled for early next week.
I was joking, H. You should know me by now.
Looked a bit like Dublin dockland to me, but would be surprised you'd jump the pond.
Brennan OUT #sporza
Now Visma is chasing. Why not help Lotto when Magnier and J Philipsen had not returned yet? Weird tac.
This is the Omloop het Crashblad, by the looks of it.
I hope you find directions. Maybe ask someone? π₯
Wether there's a correlation remains to be seen, but Dutch chip machine manufacturer ASML invested β¬1.3 billion into Mistral recently, becoming the French company's largest share holder. ASML gained a seat on Mistral strategic committee as part of its investment.

Is it? Just a bit of tongue-in-cheek banter as far as I am concerned π₯
Or does this man's presence have anything to do with it π
No Omloop for Wout due to sickness.
Did he curse a witch or something? Kicked a puppy?
π I was wondering wether he's injured for the absence of any strava uploads, but he seeeems ready, yes. 881 Watts over one minute on a flat section, not too shabby.
I don't mean to be unkind, why did you take their bait? They aim to upset and make headlines.

You don't need to be a weatherman to predict a race's outcome... but it surely comes in handy. Wind from the west is forecast for Saturday, favouring jumpers in Muur/Bosberg. Could get tight in the last 5k though #omloop #mvdp #cycling
after a short break at home. Expect to be fresh and ready to compete for victory in Catalunya and Ardennes later. No MSR, as he's consistantly said, so don't fall for media hype around this subject. Catalunya is important for the team, is considered as a dress rehearsal for the Tour de France. /2
Interviewed by Sporza, Remco says he pushed the same values as last time he rode Jebel Hafeet [2022], adding that racing gets faster and faster. Generally felt less fresh than in Valencia. Happy with ITT but adds he may not have been fully recovered the next day. Looking forward, goes to alltitude /
I wonder wether trained for these long climbs, as he stepped in for Jonas. I'd estimate he's trained for max ten minute efforts that he'd climb in Ardeche & Paris-Nice. But yeah we don't really know without some commentary from him or Visma
