I so think this is a wonderful idea, and you shouldn't feel obligated to get it up before you move in. Sometimes you don't realize you need, like, X object for X room until you've unpacked. Or something gets broken in the move, etc.
I feel like this is also true about corn, which used to vary wildly compared to what ends up in the grocery store produce section now. There used to be a white corn season. My farmer grandad used to say grocery store yellow corn wasn't fit for his horses. (He had no horses, but he did have drama.)
