Heartbreaking to see such a mass exodus of talent from WaPo, my beloved former newsroom. It took weeks for its owner and management to destroy one of the most venerable news orgs in the world. Let's be very clear, many many who left were lifers and only left because the felt the house was on fire.

TikTok's only lifeline was Trump stepping in asap. He just posted that he needs time to review the situation and that he'll make a decision in the "not too distant future," which is absolutely not the vague timeline TikTok wanted.
