From God of War (2018). Think of how many opportunities they had to fix the credits to include actual people over the last 8 years. And yet, to this day, translators are still not included. #TranslatorsInTheCredits
A picture of the Nioh 3 credits. Koei Tecmo's localization staff is mentioned, but none of the actual translators are credited.
Nioh 3, developed by Koei Tecmo and localized in 11 languages, does NOT feature any #TranslatorsInTheCredits. A few members of Localization staff are included in the LQA credits, but none of the actual translators are credited. Source: GamersPrey
While I'm here, Paranormasight also does not credit its localizers, only listing the in-house localization producers/directors/project managers, then blanket crediting Digital Hearts at the end as "production cooperation". #TranslatorsintheCredits

Cozy Caravan (@cozycaravangame.bsky.social), developed by 5 Lives Studios and localized in 13 languages, does NOT feature any #TranslatorsInTheCredits. Only the localization agency, 2M Language Services, is credited.
Thank you for the additional evidence! This is indeed the same boilerplate Sony has used on most of their titles in the past.
Lego Horizon Adventures, developed by Guerrilla and Sony, and translated into 25 languages does NOT feature any #TranslatorsInTheCredits.

Happy 30th anniversary to the Tales series, one of my all-time favorite RPG series! π...I just wish it treated my colleagues with a little more respect. The series actively stopped crediting its English localizers as of 2014, and has almost never credited its FIGS localizers or English voice actors.
Looking at the full credit list (www.mobygames.com/game/245425/...), most of the people in the Contractors category are not even credited under "real" role names, simply "Contractor", "Embark Team" or "Special Thanks".
No mention of voice acting or localization either.
Unless there is another credits sequence I'm unaware of, Tales of Xillia Remastered also fails to credit its English localizers (both past and present), as well as its English voice actors, continuing the trend of Tales games omitting these people in the credits. #TranslatorsintheCredits
Halloween draws near, and you know what's truly scary? Being made as invisible as a ghost by a bunch of corporations, buried under literally everybody else in a credit roll. Such as here in The Quarry (2022), a title localized in 19 languages. And of course, no #TranslatorsInTheCredits... π»
Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We checked MobyGames for the post and it seems it may not be updated.

In the case of external agencies outside of our control, we credit to the exact specification as provided to us by the entity.
Unfortunately, this is not the exception. In 2021, it didn't provide the names for Inscryption even when pressed (@dmullinsgames.bsky.social)

Only this year, ACE Agency has failed to provide the names of its contractors in two more games:
Architect Life by Shine group (@nacon.bsky.social)
SONOKUNI by Don Yasa Crew (@kakehashigames.com)
And final update on the matter: Palworld credits now feature 40+ new names across a dozen languages :) #TranslatorsInTheCredits

Casual reminder that it was shortly after the release of Tales of Xillia that Tales games actively stopped crediting their English localizers. Bonus fact: Did you know that it's basically the only best-selling JRPG series to have this issue?
How do you solve a problem like miscrediting?
In her latest column, @nicolecarpenter.bsky.social spoke with union members, industry experts, and advocates to learn how collective action can help developers get the recognition they deserve:
This is not the first time EDS Wordland is credited without any individual contributor names:
- Lorelei and the Laser Eyes (βͺ@simogo.com)
- Skin Deep (@blendogames.bsky.social)
- Wanderstop (@ivyroadgames.bsky.social)
- The Artful Escape (Beethoven & Dinosaur)
All published by Annapurna.
Wheel World by @messhof.bsky.social / @annapurna.com, localized in 11 languages, does NOT feature any #TranslatorsInTheCredits. Only the localization agency, EDS Wordland Ltd., is credited.
(LSPs can be skeevy, though: some don't pay their linguists very well, and others don't put their names in the credits.
A lot of translators across our industry (including me!) continue to rally for #TranslatorsInTheCredits -- follow @locincredits.bsky.social !)
Continuing the trend, ISLANDERS: New Shores (@coatsink.com) was also localized by Localize Direct, and doesn't include any #TranslatorsInTheCredits.
