Nice! I was in Boston around then - made a few great tapes myself!

Arguably one of Milesβ most underrated groups. Saw them at KIX - life memories
Long time GG fan but donβt know this one!
One of Lennyβs last recordings I think. He was actually breaking some new ground before he died! π
Itβs not everyone that can appreciate the playing over the recording quality. My favorite conductor is Furtwangler π
All 4 albums put out from those 2 sessions!
Yes - a favorite album ! I just recently added Besame Mucho - as a waltz π- to my gig book for next week! A fun different way to play it.
Was excited to see these 2 together- didnβt disappoint!

I saw this band live at a small club in Boston. On fire.
Huh?
I listened to this like 3 times in a row in the car the other day. Last time I did that was Sinatra βThe Way You Look Tonightβ π
Love For Sale - just a βwarmupβ, not even released on the initial album - IMO one of the greatest tracks ever!
Great album!
I agree w you but why you have to tag Wes Montgomery? π
I love Jackie! Although some alto players canβt handle his intonationβ¦ ππ
I saw Mel w Joe Lovano and Kenny Werner one time. More to him than most people knew!
You got me on this one! Will check him out further.
Yes! Great under the radar KB - and killer band!
I was there at Kix in Boston - Life changing!
What?
Bad politics⦠good meat
Bob Moses told me back in the 80βs - βFuze, man!β
Yes I have that - they really did some serious fixing from the original!
Maybe Milesβ most underrated band!
THIS!
A great album. But as time has gone by, I prefer some of his later solo albums like this - more seasoned, and much better recorded! (On virtuoso the amp broke down)
Dave I get all your comments - except this one. Remember- most of the βAmerican Songbookβ standards in the 50βs WERE pop tunes - Miles etc, βdoing covers of pop tunesβ!
Nothing new about that - Miles and his alumni were already doing it for 60 years! But nothing wrong with giving us a periodic reminder β€οΈ
Itβs a GREAT album. I like Art but a prime example of Miles 56 Rhythm section stretching out w no boss! And some different tunes! Listened to this countless times!
