Caught some starlings indulging at the birdfeeder today. Guess I startled them!
Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy has one of the best film scores out there and it's not even close. Those movies wouldn't have been half as good otherwise. Perfectly captured the adventurous and playful spirit.

Only about 1/4 - 1/3 of the way into it but @nnedi.bsky.social has utterly gripped my writer's soul with Death of the Author.

Yup, this. Right now in the system we have, we need options between "all rights reserved" and "no rights exist." Like, say, non-commercial clauses that make work accessible for people to read while still requiring Facebook to get permission and pay up if they want to profit off people's work.
