We don't have training data! The current version of freemocap relies on mediapipe (BlazePose) for the tracking, you can find all the model cards and whatnot in their docs. Future versions will allow you to hot swap the tracking model, but we don't currently have any plans to train our own.
After five years since the foundation of FreeMoCap, our inaugural State of the Skelly address stream was a success! This communicates to our amazing community what we've accomplished so far, and what the roadmap for 2026 will look like. Watch the archived stream here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJrw...
Join us for the 2026 State of the Skelly Address Tuesday, Feb 3rd from 6-8pm Eastern! This event will include a roughly 1-hour presentation on the current state and future plans for the FreeMoCap Project, with plenty of time for questions and discussion. #freemocap #blender #animation #mocap #foss

Dusting off this account - looks like #Bluesky has been picking up!
Please share any tips and tricks to help me get started! Trying to capture the #Science #Twitter magic before that space rotted out.
(specifcally making this post to use the #EduSky hashtag so I can join that group)

Something exciting just left the gym -- meet Arnold the first generalist musculoskeletal control policy!
The human body has 600+ muscles, yet we seamlessly coordinate them for everything from whispering a syllable to felling a forrest. How? www.arxiv.org/abs/2508.18066
It got it on the first try!
