Flash story - Mouth on a String

Don't insult boxes of hair like that.
So Twitler is firing the puppy killer and replacing her with someone who threatened to physically fight a union leader. Cool.
Wobbly here. Hello fellow worker!
Write Sinister is still alive and still sinister

Hook me up! Audhd membership card in hand.
Set a consistent routine. I canβt do that with *anything.*
Thanks as always, Eryn!

At the moment, I'm not posting anything regularly there, except the occasional short story. But I'm scheming my next horror tale, so stay tuned. :)

Not bad - the trouble is that's describable, and...shoggoths aren't. :)

Inspired by a few things - a Call of Cthulhu scenario called "Signal to Noise," and of course The Ring, and Annihilation (the movie). And my own weird mind.
The wolf's shadow stuttered, blurred, its eyes full of static, a child's scream tearing from its maw. I backed away. The creature smiled, human lips and teeth blurring into its own, the canned laughter of a sitcom audience now rumbling out of its throat. #horrorwriterschat
Definitely spiders. Lots of spiders. YEEESH. I'll have none, thanks. #horrorwriterschat
I'm a big fan of werewolves and wolves in general. Not sure why, exactly, I just think they're cool. But most of my horror doesn't really include standard animals. More...indescribable eldritch horrors. Not sure the WWF would know how to classify a shoggoth.

Hello again horror writers! I'm E. D. Jones, and I write weird and cosmic horror, along with other stuff.
The natural world features heavily in my horror. Dramatic coastal landscapes used for grotesque cult rituals. Forests that consume. Fungus that hunts. #horrorwriterschat

So this is terrifying on another level.
US Troops out of everywhere.
Cool! Thanks for the advice. :)
I'm tickled and a little bit honored that I got a like from you with this post, @drgonzo123.bsky.social - can you suggest a few intro scenarios for brand new DG players (and new Handlers) that would lead nicely into Impossible Landscapes?
Dolly Parton is a straight up goddess. Or as we Jews would call her, a Mensch with a capital M.
Here I am just trying to play a nice game of Star Trek Adventures and apparently we're at war with Iran?? Sure, why the fuck not. That might as well happen.
Skynet run by current LLMs would...yeah, still wreck the world, but in hilariously chaotic and badly designed ways. I don't even know what that would look like, but uh...it'd be the weirdest apocalypse ever.
A gif from the *worst* Terminator movie to make the point.
We're not just going to get Skynet, we're going to get *badly made* Skynet...that's so much worse, right?
A curious but ignorant ally (me) wants to know:
How does one identify their "fursona?" Why do you identify with your 'sona, what drew you to it, what does it mean to you? If one were to be searching for a 'sona, where would one start? I'm genuinely interested in your stories.
#furries.
This song is...such a gloriously cheesy retro pastiche, everything from Laverne & Shirley to America's Funniest Home Videos and even a Police-style "eee-yaaa-yoo." The Midnight know how to do a silly mashup that still just fucking unironically slaps.

βTrump is done.β Iβll just leave this here until thatβs actually true, so yβall donβt have to keep writing it over and over and over again while the psychopathic child rapist keeps somehow *not* being done.
And yet. The song came out 30 years ago and describes a 17-year time difference.
If the Smashing Pumpkins wrote β1979β today, the lyrics would be
βShakedownβ¦2009.β
