The AAA4 fundraiser went from $1113 to $1288 in one day! That means we only have $112 left to reach our goal! That means we could hit 100% TODAY if a few more people give us their support! We're so close! Please chip in if you can!

perfect representation of the vicious asininity of our persecution and the banal mechanisms of its implementation: these regular-ass people, the staff at the dmv, dutifully inflicting whatever absurd degradation they're told, no matter how blatantly, cruelly pointless. would you do that? will you?

the problem is bigotry, but the tool they're using to spread it is *the concept of pornography*. as long as we accept the idea that "pornography" is

1. meaningfully distinct from other forms of art, and
2. inherently bad or shameful

it will continue to be a weapon conservatives can use against us!

Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.

i have no interest in separating porn from art we should all be arm in arm

we aren't getting out of this by leaving anyone behind. fascists will claim we are forcibly injecting toddlers with estrogen no matter how much ground we cede them. give them nothing.

Advocating for the free expression of human sexuality in art and storytelling is central to who I am as a writer and I’m beyond grateful for the chance to write about it in the context of adult games for Adult Analysis Anthology 4!

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as β€œpornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict β€œpornography” and what that actually means

In lieu of Discord’s age verification policies, time to make another post about the dangers of online censorship (especially in connection to child trafficking).

Tl;dr: These policies are about surveillance, profit, and data mining…not about β€˜saving the children.’

β€œBut the antidote to moral injury doesn’t usually start with grand gestures, it starts with recognizing our capacity to act in the service of our values in small ways that remind us we have at least some agency, even if everything in us is screaming that we have none.”

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.

I don’t mock anybody for looking after their health - you do what you have to do. But I don’t agree with the lectures to β€˜be kind to yourself’ & β€˜not watch the video.’ If possible you do need to see what the state does in your name, with your money, to people you know & who look like you.

'Why aren't they in the streets' is answered almost every day in my small town by people in the streets! Rather than asking 'why aren't they in the streets' it's worth asking 'why isn't your media showing them in the streets' and 'who is served by downplaying resistane in its myriad forms.'

In Minneapolis-St. Paul, this is not an academic matter. They are organizing, to a degree difficult to imagine for those who are not living there. And they are not alone; indeed many of the approaches they have adopted have come from lessons learned in Chicago, in LA, in other cities that experienced similar invasions by our own government in 2025. Like the boycotters in Montgomery, this is not part of some grand design, something worked out well in advance by a disciplined organization. This is something that ordinary people have taken it upon themselves to do. Some of them have developed new tactics as events unfolded, and shared the lessons they learned. Others have simply put their trust in those coordinating these actions, and gone to the front lines, putting life and limb at risk to protect their neighbors.

When people get a glimpse of what ordinary people in Minneapolis are doing, I think they may not be aware that it is the culmination of lessons learned from last year’s invasions of other cities & from organizing that occurred locally in 2020 www.liberalcurrents.com/we-have-orga...

This is Minneapolis:

Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

This ends up having legitimately bad outcomes, too, because a sizable pillar of transphobia rests on this kind of gender essentialism as its foundation. If gender is destiny, and most people struggle to understand the difference between assigned sex and gender, then assigned sex is destiny.
