sorry. i've been pissed off this entire vocacolle because of so many producers opting to use AI for their illustrations/MVs, either partially or fully

and for one to win the 2nd place spot (and has millions of views) upsets me a lot

if you want to create music in criticism of the slop-ification of social media then maybe don't use AI in your MV

Maybe it'll just take a little time to rebuild, I think bsky is actually doing pretty good for its first year being open

-call me an optimist but I still don't think its too late for things to be different, since I know at one time it was

Maybe we just need to make better efforts to connect with each other beyond being in just one location-

-It made me think about how much I missed the commonality of people using RSS feeds for across the web updates

I think sometimes about how its been odd that up until recently we've been relying on One Place to stay connected and see one another

How much power we've given to these platforms-

I noticed when I went to a convention in the Philippines almost every single artist was using Twitter and even when handing out one of my business cards someone said to me they couldn't follow due to not being on the same platforms-

-we've come to the conclusion that the ones that matter most will show up wherever you do

At the end of the day these platforms are just places we can be, community can happen anywhere as long as were willing to make an effort to build it

Thats my thoughts on it at least

-to jump ship and move it would prompt fans to follow suit and there'd be more motivation to want to move to keep up with projects in other places

I've seen quite a few of my producer friends have their fans follow them whenever they decided to use Bsky or Newgrounds instead-

Momentum wise with having a business hm...

Well maybe for that I can I see why some groups may be hesitant to leave platforms they've been using for promo from the start, even if the platform changes in dubious ways

I still think though considering this if more companies decided-
