Rights of Every Child on Instagram: "Artist Nada @nada_rajab8431 who creates with children via Art from the Rubble in Gaza reached out and offered these illustrations inspired by photos of children she knows and children’s rights. Thank you @nada_rajab8431 for creating them and sharing them here at @rightsofeverychild. From her:
“New artworks under the title ‘Rights Erased in Gaza Since the Onset of the Genocide.’
The right to life is the most sacred of all human rights, and the right to survive is an inalienable duty that must never be stripped away. In Gaza today, this right is being tested in its harshest form, as people are deprived of the most basic guarantees of safety, and families are torn apart under the weight of genocide. Preserving family unity is not merely a social demand; it is a protection of the very essence of human existence.
Human rights organizations have documented that the number of sole survivors—individuals who are the only remaining members of their families—has risen to more than 20,000. These survivors have lost their entire families, remaining as living witnesses to their disappearance.
As for the right to psychological and physical safety (depicted in the second image), it is not a privilege but a fundamental condition of a dignified life. In Gaza, children have endured trauma beyond their capacity to bear, to the extent that hair loss and loss of speech have become daily manifestations of an unending shock.
Finally, there is the right to safe education in a stable, conflict-free environment.
Thank you. “"
