Is it possible to watch the Harry Potter movies without the experience being ruined knowing now that JK Rowling is a TERF and anti-trans?
Asking sincerely.

Night sweats.
Again.
I’m wide awake, way too hot, full of adrenaline, and super sweaty.
Perimenopause is kicking my butt!

As someone who teaches the research project course of my BBA program, I thank you!! Guest speakers like you make a massive difference in getting buy-in from students!! More than ever with AI, we need young folks to hear about successful careers like yours!! 🧑

I’m so excited we’re getting rid of the silly time change process as soon as possible. It’s just terrible on everyone and everything.
Now I don’t know why we’re going with daylight over standard, so I need to learn that soon-ish.

My son is 14yo today, which also means that I’ve been a mom now for 14 years.
Being happy in and with parenthood has made me even more of a birth control and abortion advocate. πŸ’ͺ

Due to misunderstandings, we’re now aware that Martin is a common last name in the francophone, Mennonite, and Indigenous communities. None of which he belongs to, but many have insisted he looks like their cousin. 🀷

My husband’s last name is Martin, which is the fourth most common last name in Canada. Brad is such a common name too that there have been two separate Olympians with his full name in the last two decades.

Same. In a straight relationship and as I get more confident disclosing in public that I’m non-binary, my husband of 21 years has been more confident and more chill about it than me! You really do love the person inside. 🧑

I was living in Whitehorse, my then-4yo was in daycare, and I was on vacation.
It was absolutely glorious weather for those two weeks and I was outside and walking everywhere. I learned about murals and local signs that I had never known about despite having lived there for 16 years. Such fun!! 🀩

Screenshot from a clothing styling app called Indyx. It shows the month of March 2026. In each box, you can put together pictures you’ve taken of your own clothes to create an outfit for the day. I’ve done that for Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week because those are my teaching days. Tuesday I get to work from home. Every outfit is unusually colourful reflecting my bubbly personality. Several items are homemade by Indigenous crafters.

It’s Sunday night and you know what means! Time to style my outfits for teaching. Since I long ago figured out that no amount of dressing conservatively was going to improve students’ perceptions of me as β€œmore professional” according to student evaluations, I always embrace my colourful, artistic.

Here’s how Atlantic Canadians are dealing with rising inflation, grocery prices A deeper look at the cost of living shows Atlantic Canadians facing higher inflation and steeper grocery bills than much of the country.

According to Phoebe Stephens, an associate professor at Dalhousie University, groceries could become more affordable by improving the regional supply chain and increasing the volume of locally produced food. #NewBrunswick #PrinceEdwardIsland #NovaScotia

Show up to any committee meeting in my b-school and it’s rare to see even one man there. If there is a man, that it’s almost always someone from a marginalized group is incredibly noticeable.
But white men make up the majority of the faculty members in the school.

CBC airing the State of the Union address pisses me off and is also so embarrassing.

I wish Canadians understood that "Everything the US does, impacts us" has become a self-fulfilling prophecy where we rely on them for everything and are therefore, constantly being impacted by their BS.

I think the only fruit that I have to put Splenda on so I can eat it is grapefruit.
The more I think about it, the weirder it is that I’ve been having to add sweetener to this fruit since I was a little kid.
Why haven’t my tastebuds adapted after all these decades?
Lazy tastebuds.

Virtually every provincial government in this country is run by the most appalling fucking scumbags. Couldn't risk destroying Canada more than if they were Russian assets.

It has occurred to me that one reason I’ve never heard a slur during tic’ing is that the folks tic’ing removed themselves when it’s happening.
That’s also an important consideration for this situation too. Third time raises questions in my mind.

Not an expert.
What I find *even more* questionable about this incident is that I’ve taught several students with Tourette’s and not a single one of them ever tic’d with slurs. Swear words, odd phrases, mostly interesting sounds, but never slurs.
