itβs really satisfying when you take down a strong enemy and they all cheer for you, though i want to add a few more triggers for it like taunting near an enemy or entering the s-rank super mode
spent a little time to work on the endless mode i was thinking of for a while now, basing the arena on a theatre stage was pretty fun

messing with armored enemies and the parry move, canceling normals into parry to block the enemyβs combos is a super fun way to fight them
also experimenting with parry sfx, iβm really liking this mix of the ttyd superguard and ultrakill parry sounds

(the blue aura is a defense buff which lets enemies tank weak hits)
not sure why iβm so surprised the dayzees fit in so well given the game the sprites are from is a major inspiration for shroomgameβs visuals and tone (sadly theyβll be replaced at some point soon since theyβre just meant to be placeholders)

Five years ago, I started a project that was everything you aren't supposed to do.
A big, hours-long single player action game with cutscenes and side quests galore.
After release last year, I've more than doubled the size of the game, and I'm not done yet.
